Kevin Young - 400m Hurdles

Born in Watts, a district of South Central Los Angeles, attending the world renowned UCLA, winning two NCAA titles, before finishing 4th at the 1988 Seoul Olympics behind compatriots (and training partner) Andre Phillips, and Edwin Moses.

Dominance and a Gold-medal winning performance at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, becoming the first man under 47 seconds and setting a world record that would last almost 30 years until 2021. Kevin was World athlete of the year in 1992. World gold followed in 1993, cementing his legacy as a hurdles icon.

Allan Wells - 100m/200m

Success came relatively late for Scotsman, Allan Wells, when he took the 1980 Olympic gold medal in the blue riband 100m event at the Moscow Olympic Games at the age of 28. World Cup success followed in 1981, a 4-time Commonwealth Games champion in 1978/1982, and owner of the title of World’s fastest man between 1980-1981!

Beijing 2008 Olympic hurdles champion - World record holder 2008-2012 - 12.87s. Hailing from Cuba, the unassuming Robles, claimed World Championship Gold in 2010 and was one of the best and certainly the smoothest to ever hurdle!

Without doubt the GREATEST high jumper of all time and still the world record holder - the only man to ever jump over 8 feet - Javier did it twice in 1989 and 1993. He won Olympic Gold in 1992 and set his last of 4 world records in 1993, still standing today - 2.45m - the height of a football goal post!
